Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Growth, Change & Giving Back

I shared this letter with our email subscribers and wanted to include it here on the blog as well!

As we step into 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on the past year and express my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible support of The Good Lane.

Every order, review, like, comment, and share has meant the world to me. Truly, none of this would be possible without you—thank you for being part of this journey.

2024 was a year of growth, change, and plenty of learning as we navigated the ups and downs of small business life in an uncertain economy. I’ve been calling it our “pivot” year, and here’s why:

  • We said goodbye to our seasonal subscription box—a bittersweet decision. This offering will always hold a special place in my heart, and who knows? Maybe it’ll come back better than ever someday!
  • We launched our very own products—a big and exciting step for The Good Lane.
  • And we introduced The Good Cloth Project, a new initiative turning everyday purchases into meaningful impact.

Through The Good Cloth Project, we donated $1,945 to six amazing nonprofits, supporting causes like: planting trees, strengthening grassroots organizations in Cochrane, Calgary, and Banff and rescuing animals!

These milestones fill me with gratitude, but running a small business comes with challenges - balancing big dreams with limited resources, making tough decisions, and continuously adapting to change. Through it all, your support keeps me going!

As we embrace the opportunities of 2025, I’d love to hear from you - you can email me at hello@thegoodlane.com. What new products or ideas would you like to see from The Good Lane? Your feedback is invaluable as I work to bring you goods that align with your values and needs.

Thank you for believing in The Good Lane and for helping us turn thoughtful, eco-friendly ideas into action. I’m excited to see what we’ll accomplish together in the year ahead!

With heartfelt gratitude,

Brenna
